Timber Ridge Camp is a traditional coed overnight camp located in the beautiful Shenandoah Mountains of West Virginia, approximately 90 minutes west of Washington DC. At Timber Ridge Camp, campers, counselors and specialists join together with our family of proud owners (three generations!) to create a special summer community. Timber Ridge becomes a camper’s connection to something very special in his or her life. This is why we love to say: Our longest traditions are new friendships! Our boys and girls cabins are located in separate rows on camp that provide ample privacy, while still remaining in close proximity to everything Timber Ridge has to offer. Each cabin is equipped with a porch, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, windows/screens, full bathrooms with private showers, and spacious room for the children and their belongings. We maintain a 3:1 counselor-to-camper ratio in the cabins throughout the summer. This ensures that each individual receives personalized attention and never feels left out or left behind. Our programming philosophy in centered around the importance of choice. At Timber Ridge all campers participate in “free-choice” scheduling. This means that campers are allowed to choose all of the activities that they participate in. There’s something for everyone here! We are known for our extensive selection of quality and diverse activities taught in an enthusiastic, fun-filled environment. Our experienced instructors and coaches are trained to teach campers of all ability levels. Whether a camper is a beginner or an expert, every camper feels like a pro!
