This program is for incoming 7th, 8th, and 9th graders. The tweens spend 2-3 partial days each week helping at camp. Participants help with a young group, prepare for Special Events, or assist in Specialist areas such as: Art, Swimming, Drama, and Sports. The rest of these ‘helping days’ are spent with their Group Leader and peers learning leadership skills, participating in activities, and swimming. Two half or one whole day each week are spent doing a service project such as: PADS, packing books to send overseas, visiting senior centers, etc. The last day or two of each week are spent on age appropriate Field Trips such as: climbing, high ropes course, boating, beach trip, ball game, public transportation to the loop, water parks, and more. The goal of the program is to give tweens the opportunity to be leaders, participate in service, and have fun with their peers.
