What does it mean to be a “leader”? To have integrity? To be dependable? To be a role model or teacher? To have compassion and empathy? To be both trusted AND respected by younger campers? And why is it important to have the qualities of a leader? Now you’ll have the opportunity to explore these questions in the Camp’s Campers-In-Leadership-Training (CILT)program. This program is available only to campers 14 and older who attend sessions of two-weeks or longer. You’ll still get plenty of choice in what you do at camp for much your stay. You’ll spend about 1/3 of your activity time involved with the CILT program. As a CILT, you’ll select a program area in which to assist staff in the preparation and running of the activity. You’ll also be paired with a younger bunk with whom you’ll meet daily.
