Founded in 1952, Plantation strives to develop personal responsibility, self-esteem, and a sensitivity to the environment in a non-competitive, family atmosphere. Campers participate in farm chores and choose daily activities including swimming, kayaking, drama, sports, slingshot alley, fort building, arts and crafts, horseback riding, tidepooling, and much more. Plantation Farm Camp provides a safe environment for children to experience nature first hand. With direct responsibility for a farm chore (animal care, gardening, wood chopping, etc.), each child becomes an integral member of our community. By developing self-esteem and competence, our campers come away from camp better equipped to face the challenges of growing up.
