Environmental Trips for Challenge, or E.T.C., gives campers an exciting and challenging experience in the outdoors through high adventure opportunities, a fun and diverse community, and a unique camp experience. Based in our Delaware Unit, E.T.C. will help campers will gain confidence, build new friendships. All our E.T.C. programs are coed, with boys and girls housed in separate cabins while they are in camp, and separate tents while they are on trips. Each trip is led by an experienced, responsible staff member, who is at least 21 years old, who is assisted by at least one additional staff member. Campers will experience outdoor camping, cooking and sleeping in tents, as well as many activities based at Fairview Lake, such as archery, swimming and team building. Our programming includes One Week Camps, One Week Trips, Two Week Trips and a Three Week “Extreme Challenge” Trip. Camps: An adventurous experience that is located at Fairview Lake YMCA Camps for the entirety of the camp program. Trips: An experience mainly off-site where campers will camp in tents. Fairview Lake YMCA Camps will be used as a home base.
