BDC campers as well as children from the larger community who are entering 2nd – 10th grade may enroll for our Sailing School. Offered 2 and/or 4 days per week, for 3 hours each afternoon on our waterfront at Cliff Pond in Nickerson State Park. The pond’s fully enclosed banks provides the ideal conditions for controlled and safe sailing instruction, at all levels of experience. Coached by US Sailing Certified Instructors with decades of combined Yacht Club & collegiate competitive sailing experience, campers sail our fleet of Sunfish, 420’s and Day Sailors. Once participants complete a session (2 or 4 days) of Sailing School, they are invited to sail in BDC’s Friday Fun Races, applying the skills and excitement learned earlier in the week.
