Day Camp – 3 Week Session – DAY CAMP (returning camper)
July 23, 2017 @ 12:00 am - August 12, 2017 @ 12:00 am EST
In 1995, Pok-O-MacCready Camps began offering a Day Camp program to members of the surrounding Northcountry communities. If you are interested in enrolling you child in the Pok-O-MacCready Day Camp program, please contact us, as there are limited spots available each summer. DATES and ACCOMODATIONS Day Camp runs from Tuesday, July 24 – Saturday, August 11, Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM. During the final week, first year day campers are invited and encouraged to stay at camp overnight at no extra charge. Veteran day campers may pay an additional fee to take advantage of this option. If a Day Camper chooses to participate in overnight hikes or certain all-camp evening activities they are required to spend the night, with an additional fee of $50 per evening. PROGRAM The Day Camp program that Pok-O-MacCready offers is incredibly strong, thanks to the large infrastructure that our overnight camps offer. Day Campers are integrated directly with our overnight campers by creating their own class schedule, and are encouraged to participate in each and every activity offered to our overnight campers. This arrangement means that Pok-O-MacCready’s Day Camp is certainly the most varied and time-tested day camp program anywhere in the Northcountry. TRANSPORTATION Pok-O-MacCready offers transportation to and from three Northcountry locations each day: Plattsburgh, AuSable Forks, Keeseville, and Essex (if arriving by ferry from Vermont). The Plattsburgh location is convenient for families from Plattsburgh proper, as well as Chazy and other points north. The AuSable Forks pick-up/drop-off location is ususally used by families from Lake Placid, stopping along the way via exit 34 at Keeseville. The Essex location is ideal for families located in Vermont communities such as Burlington, Shelburne, and Charlotte.
