RISING STAR SPORTS offers two week-long sessions of sports for children ages 3 to entering 2nd grade. This program is offered from 9 am until 11:30 am Monday through Friday. Now in its 8th year, the primary goal of Rising Star Sports is to have fun while building skills and confidence. Children are grouped by age, grade, and ability. Children will learn the basics of baseball or t-ball and soccer through fun drills and games. Each day will consist of 20-minute skill rotations, which teach the proper techniques and rules. The children also have a period for large group games. The day will conclude with a soccer, t-ball or baseball game, led by the coaching staff. The players will play multiple positions, and acquire a better understanding of the sports. The Tenacre School’s fields are used for these programs. During inclement weather, the School’s indoor facilities will be used.
