Rotary Youth Camp, Inc. (RYC), was established in 1995 with the sole purpose to offer traditional summer camp opportunities to children with illnesses, disabilities, or special needs who would be unable to attend a summer camp due to medical restrictions, financial limitations or both.
RYC is located in northwest Florida, held in Quincy, Gadsden County. The home office is located in Tallahassee. The camp site is approximately 25 minutes northwest of Tallahassee.
Since our first season, we have hosted children with some form every disability or multiple disabilities, and/medical illnesses such as diabetes or sickle cell.
What makes us unique? At times that is difficult to answer, however we like to believe that because we incorporate a themed summer, with true research and educational discoveries, and allowing the campers to embody the theme for a week, we allow the campers to have an experiential opportunity, not often seen or given in other camp environments.
our staff return year after year because of the true family spirit, love of the kids and the purpose for which we offer a camp.
RYC is sponsored by individuals, corporate organizations and many rotary clubs in district 6940, however are not limited to attendees within the district or sponsorship by just those rotary organizations. We are a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. We are served by a board of directors, open to sponsoring members of rotary clubs.
