Wildwood’s Teen Adventure Trips immerse teens in the natural wonders of New England’s most beautiful areas and provide fun, appropriate challenges for all levels of outdoor experience. After a day of group-building and orientation at Wildwood, campers and trip leaders head into the New England wilderness. Along the way, they meet with environmental professionals and naturalists to learn firsthand about natural science and conservation. Most groups also complete a brief service project, allowing teens to leave a positive mark on the special places they visit. Groups are coed, consisting of two leaders and up to eight teens. Participants practice hands-on skills in outdoor adventure and develop knowledge of the region’s natural history. For trips that include biking, participants should already be able to ride a bike. On all trips, safety equipment, including helmets and PFDs, is provided.
